Griddle Plate for Weber Kettle - 22"
This Griddle plate is made out of heavy duty 11-gauge cold rolled mild steel. At 21.5 inches diameter, it is designed to fit into 22” Weber Kettle Charcoal Grills.
-Use the flat griddle part to smash burgers, fry eggs, toast buns, sauté onions, cook pancakes, and many more things.
-Use the sear portion of the grill to get high temp grill marks on your steak or burgers.
-It is recommended to season the griddle prior to use, and to maintain it properly, to prevent rust and corrosion.
Clean product with hot and soapy water to remove manufacturing debris
Heat oven or grill to 300-400 degrees.
Apply a thin coat of cooking oil (like Canola oil) all over the entire product, making sure to not have any excess oil on the plate. I like to use paper towels for both applying and removing oil. (Place foil or a baking sheet on the rack below the griddle to catch any drips of oil that may occur)
Heat the griddle in the oven or grill for 1 hour. Apply additional thin coats of oil if desired.
Let griddle cool slowly and naturally over time until cool. Wipe off any excess oil that may exist.
Store in a safe and dry location to prevent rust.
-After cooking, it is recommended to remove excess debris by wiping with a non-abrasive pad or cloth. Do not use soap and water, as this will remove the seasoning layer. If desired, apply another thin coat of cooking oil prior to storage.
(Metal plate may contain small cosmetic scratches or imperfections but won’t affect the performance of the griddle.)
